We have been tasked with creating a platform game and our tutor gave us a brief with only four requirements.
Tutor Brief
- The game must include one main character
- 5 different levels
- Several monsters that attack you
- The game will be 2 dimensional
The game i will be creating will have to include much more than this, i will put all of these things in my Own Brief.
Own Brief
Plot: A secret organisation was testing chemical weapons in the Antarctic when something went wrong, one of the bombs they were developing exploded simultaneously and infected the workers of the facility.
A veteran penguin that was previously part of S.E.A.L Team was near by, the penguin's name is Finley. Finley was fishing for his family when he heard the explosion and was attacked by the infected, he fought them off and got back to his family.
Finley's family are scared and need supply's, and it's down to Finley to retrieve them.
Target Audience
My target audience is anyone that enjoys fast past shooters but will be aimed at anyone around 12 to 17 year old's and gamer's that enjoy Shoot em up games.
The game i am creating must include the following:
- Specific backgrounds for each level
- Several sounds implemented into the game
- A specific art style that suits the game
- A chosen genre
- Appropriate demographics
- Weapons
